U of T ‘Groundbreakers’ series highlights cutting-edge research of two CS faculty members

Two Department of Computer Science faculty members share the spotlight in the University of Toronto’s new Groundbreakers multimedia series that features research leaders involved with the university’s Institutional Strategic Initiatives.

“Science of the future happens at the interface of fields,” says Professor Alán Aspuru-Guzik, director of U of T’s Acceleration Consortium. In this video, he discusses the collaborations necessary to speed up the discovery and development of advanced materials.

“We want to build the next generation of robotics leaders,” says Associate Professor Jessica Burgner-Kahrs, director of the University of Toronto Robotics Institute. In this video, she tells host Ainka Jess about tiny, worm-like robots that could revolutionize the way surgeons work.
