Event description from Y Combinator:
Three YC partners are coming to U of T to give an off-the-record talk about startups. Andrew Miklas, Nicolas Dessaigne, and Christopher Golda all started YC startups ourselves and now, between us, have funded over 1,000 YC startups. We'll talk about what YC has learned from funding companies like Stripe, Twitch, Reddit, and Scale AI, which were all started by college dropouts or new grads. We’ll also talk about the latest things happening in AI in Silicon Valley and why the AI boom has caused YC to fund 4x as many college students as 2022.
Don’t worry if you’re not working on a startup yet — we’re especially interested in talking to students studying technical subjects like CS, math, and engineering who may not have thought much about doing a startup but are curious to learn more.
