It's almost here! TEDxToronto is kicking off its digital event series #UNCHARTED on Thursday, October. 29. The world today is something we’ve never experienced before, and these uncharted waters are making us ask some big questions. How can we see the larger picture, find sources of hope and realize the power each of us has to chart a better course?

The speaker slate is full of incredible thinkers and doers from diverse backgrounds, careers, and lived experiences – including Artificial Intelligence Expert, Jimmy Ba. A faculty member at the University of Toronto and Vector Institute, Jimmy developed the Adam Optimizer, a foundational algorithm used to train AI models. Today, Jimmy’s research focuses on advancing our understanding of the human mind, intelligence and computation.
