Teaching Stream faculty interview talks are composed of two 30-minute teaching demonstrations with time for questions after each demo.
The timing of the teaching demos is: 10:40-11:20am and 11:20am-12:00pm.
Narges Norouzi received her Ph.D. and M.A.Sc. in The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering in 2017 and 2014, respectively, from the University of Toronto, Canada. She also received her B.A.Sc. from the Sharif University of Technology in 2012. She is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor at the Computer Science and Engineering department of Baskin School of Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Dr. Norouzi is an active member of the Engineering Education Research community and is the PI and co-PI on a number of educational and/or diversity, equity, and inclusion grants. She is also leading the Applied Machine Learning lab at UCSC where she, together with her Ph.D., MS, and undergraduate students, are employing machine learning and deep learning algorithms to build medical software solutions.
