Teaching Stream Faculty Candidate Talks

Teaching Stream faculty interview talks are composed of two 30-minute teaching demonstrations with time for questions after each demo.

The timing of the teaching demos is: 10:40-11:20am and 11:20am-12:00pm.

Mario Badr is a teaching-stream Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto, where he teaches courses and contributes to curriculum design and pedagogical research for a new first-year admission stream into Computer Science. Prior to starting his Postdoctoral Fellowship, Mario assisted, instructed, and developed materials for a wide variety of courses (such as programming, engineering design, and computer architecture) as a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto. Mario completed his MASc and PhD in Computer Architecture in 2014 and 2019, respectively. Over his graduate career, he has received three awards for excellence as a teaching assistant at the departmental (2017), faculty (2019), and university (2015) levels.
