Exchange Opportunities

Coursework and research exchange agreements (Canadian universities)

Graduate students enrolled at other Canadian universities have the opportunity to visit the University of Toronto and complete courses or research. Visit the School of Graduate Studies’ Visiting and Exchange Opportunities website for further information.

Coursework exchange agreements (international universities)

Graduate students enrolled at universities outside Canada who are interested in a formal exchange at the University of Toronto for coursework can find more information on U of T’s Inbound Visiting Students website. Questions can be directed to the Student Exchange Office at inbound.exchange@utoronto.ca.  

Research exchange agreements (international universities)

Graduate students enrolled in research-based degree programs at universities outside Canada can undertake some of their research under the supervision of a University of Toronto faculty member through the International Visiting Graduate Student (IVGS) Program, which is offered by the School of Graduate Studies. It is the prospective visiting student's responsibility to find a qualified and willing supervisor. Information on our department’s faculty members can be found in our faculty directory.
