Professor Miller receives VLDB Women in Database Research Award

Congratulations to Professor Renée Miller who received the 2018 VLDB Women in Database Research Award "for ground-breaking contributions on data integration and data curation". The award was presented at the 44th International Conference on Very Large Data Bases (VLDB2018) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 27-31.

The Very Large Data Base Endowment Inc. (VLDB Endowment) is a non-profit organisation incorporated in the United States for the sole purpose of promoting and exchanging scholarly work in databases and related fields throughout the world.

The database research community is privileged to have excellent women researchers who have made significant impact on the field. The VLDB Endowment feels that we have a tremendous opportunity to recognize more of our outstanding women researchers through this specially designated award.
