Alumni News: Computer Systems & Networks Research Group

The Computer Systems & Networks research group congratulates recent PhD alumni on their faculty appointments in Canada and the U.S.:

George Amvrosiadis (PhD 2016) supervised by Associate Professors Angela Demke-Brown and Ashvin Goel (ECE), is an Assistant Research Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.

Manya Ghobadi (PhD 2013), supervised by Associate Professor Yashar Ganjali, will join Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory as an assistant professor this fall. She is currently a researcher with Microsoft Research Mobility and Networking.

Phillipa Gill (PhD 2012), supervised by Associate Professor Yashar Ganjali, joined University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2016 as an Assistant Professor and was previously a faculty member at Stony Brook University. 

Suprio Ray (PhD 2015) supervised by Associate Professor Angela Demke Brown, is an Assistant Professor at University of New Brunswick.

Bogdan Simion (PhD 2013), supervised by Angela Demke Brown, an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream with the Department of Computer Science, has joined the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Toronto Mississauga, effective July 1, 2018.

Tianzheng Wang (PhD 2018) supervised by Assistant Professor Ryan Johnson and Associate Professor Angela Demke Brown, will join the School of Computing Science, Simon Fraser University this September.
