ACM SIGSOFT Doctoral Dissertation Award

Congratulations to newly appointed Assistant Professor Fan Long, who will receive the ACM SIGSOFT Doctoral Dissertation Award for Automatic Patch Generation via Learning from Successful Human Patches. His advisor is Martin Rinard, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Long joins the Department later this summer. His research focus is in software engineering, programming languages includes program analysis, software engineering, and systems security.

He will be presented the award at the 40th International Conference on Software Engineering, May 27 - June 3 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
