The Department of Computer Science and the Department of Physics in the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Quantum Computing. This will be a joint appointment between the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Physics. The majority appointment will be dependent upon the successful candidate’s area of expertise. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, with an anticipated start date of April 1, 2026.

The successful candidate, upon formally accepting the offer of a full-time faculty position, may be nominated for a Canada Excellence Research Chair in Quantum Computing. The Canada Excellence Research Chairs Program is intended to support world‑class researchers and their teams in establishing ambitious research programs at Canadian universities.
