“Hacker, Hoaxer, Whistleblower, Spy: The Many Faces of Anonymous”
McGill University Professor Gabriella Coleman will share her story of becoming an Anonymous confidante and interpreter. She speaks about the motivations of the group, the many facets of their culture and the increasing importance of hacker activism more generally.
Professor Coleman holds the Wolfe Chair in Scientific and Technological Literacy at McGill University. She is the author of Coding Freedom: The Ethics and Aesthetics of Hacking.
