How will artificial intelligence transform the music industry?
Ever since the first digital shockwaves started disrupting the music business 30 years ago, there was one certainty: technology was making it harder for record companies, music publishers and collective societies to control, track and monetize music usage but authors and composers were able to use new digital tools to augment their creativity and productivity. With the advent of AI technologies, everything changes: discovering, licensing, matching music in difficult contexts such as UGC services or social media will become much easier but creative AIs may challenge music creators at the core of their art.
Our upcoming RBC Innovation and Entrepreneurship Series features SOCAN’s CEO and Chair of the board of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) Eric Baptiste discussing how AI technologies will provide solutions to music rights management but could now disrupt creators and the creative process.
Join us on Tuesday, Nov 14 to learn more about the transformation happening in the music industry and network with those at the cross roads of AI and music including an artificial intelligence DJ.
