Join the Career Centre for our first Industry Night event as we explore what a career in artificial intelligence looks like. We are excited to host Nick Cassimatis, Distinguished Scientist and Vice President, Head of Intelligence Innovation (In2) Lab from Samsung Research America. Nick will present on how the Intelligence Innovation Lab does research into future generations of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications. He will share how Samsung Research America has assembled a team of the smartest, most original thinkers and discuss the current career opportunities that they are recruiting for.

About the Speaker: Nick Cassimatis
Distinguished Scientist and Vice President, Head of Intelligence Innovation (In2) Lab at Samsung Research America
Nick Cassimatis leads Artificial Intelligence Research. He and his team help create and oversee innovative software technologies for Samsung in the field of Intelligence and Computer Vision. He was a National Research Council Postdoctoral Associate at the Naval Research Laboratory, where he did research in robotics and cognitive architecture, collaborating with researchers from MIT and NASA on the Robonaut project. He was also the Founder of SkyPhrase which developed a Deep Natural Language Understanding (NLU) technology and was acquired by Yahoo. Nick received his doctorate and undergraduate degrees from MIT, and his master’s degree from Stanford.
