Faculty member Eyal de Lara, of the Systems & Networks research group, was awarded the Canadian Association of Computer Science (CACS)' annual Outstanding Young Computer Science Researcher Prize. The prize is awarded to "young computer science faculty members at Canadian universities within 10 years of their Ph.D. who have made highly significant contributions in their careers, particularly to research."
The Outstanding Young Researcher Award will be given out at the annual CS Chairs meeting in the late spring. Eyal's profile will be posted on the CACS' site after the awards ceremony.
DCS' past winners include Aaron Hertzmann (2009) and Michael Brudno (2011).
