This January, Steve Cook was honoured as a 2008 ACM Fellow. The fellows were named for leadership in the field and work that has played a "crucial role in forming the foundation for sustained economic growth in an information-based society."
Steve was named a fellow for his "fundamental contributions to the theory of computational complexity". Along with Steve, ACM honoured Bill Buxton, DCS graduate and former adjunct professor, for his work. See the official press release
