First year Master's student, Farah Juma has been awarded the
Microsoft Research Graduate Women's Scholarship. This competitive and prestigious scholarship
is awarded to female students in their first year of graduate studies on the
basis of academic achievement and research potential. Only 10 of the women’s
scholarships were given within North America.
Farah is in the Knowledge Representation and Reasoning
group, supervised by Sheila McIlraith. Her research interests include
preference-based planning and reasoning with structured theories (eg. MaxSAT).
