Michael Brudno was honoured with an Early Researcher Award (ERA) for his project, "Computational
Methods for Next Generation Sequencing Technologies." In this round, the province funded a total of 82 projects (338 researchers), including 17 researchers from the University of Toronto. The ERA program was created to attract and retain the best
research talent by helping promising early-career Ontario researchers
build their research teams.
