The Department extends congratulations to Associate Professor, Teaching Stream, Michelle Craig, who has been named an ACM Distinguished Educator.
ACM Distinguished Members are recognized for their individual contributions to the field of computing. Their achievements have advanced the science and education of computing in a significant way.
Professor Craig’s citation includes: "For community-building in computer science education".
Professor Craig is known to foster computer science education research within the Department of Computer Science community at U of T. She is active in the Undergraduate Capstone Open Source Projects (UCOSP), a program that brings together students from across Canada to work together on open source projects. She contributes to various activities of the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (ACM-SIGCSE), including serving on the Board of Directors.
