Gr8 Designs for Gr8 Girls

Spend the Day at UofT and learn about the many sides of computer science!

GR8 Designs for GR8 GirlsCome with a friend or come on your own and make new friends- open to grade 8 girls only.

Starting in Spring 2009, Gr8 Designs offered activity days across four different campuses: University of Toronto St. George, McMaster University, Guelph University and University of Toronto Mississauga.

*We are offering 2 days this November on St. George Campus - visit our program site here!


GR8 Designs for GR8 Girls
You’ll find tons of cool things to do- last year, some of the activities the Gr8 Designs for Gr8 Girls participants did at U of T St. George included:

  • Designing programs to make Karel the Robot go shopping
  • Using a computer to write a Mad Libs game that your friends can play
  • Visiting the internationally renowned Dynamic Graphics Lab, whose faculty have contributed to Academy Award-winning films
  • Playing games on the biggest video screen you’ve ever seen
